About the event
The Parker, Kinnard, and Butler families have all lived in the 1870 residence atop Parker Hill. Colonel George W. Parker, the former Marion County Sheriff who built the home, is credited with giving the hill and home their names. The Parker House was purchased by Sandi Butler in 1987 with assistance from Doug Owens, and restoration work was soon underway.
